This was found in La Chronica domestica di messer by Donato Velluti from 1325; a writing that depicts the origin of the word, telling the story of when French knights in Florence played tennis court, and while hitting the ball they shouted at their opponent: “tenes!”. So yeah, that's what's on this shirt.
