Situated in California, in the west of the United States along the Pacific coast, Los Angeles is also known as L.A, The City of Angels and La La Land. It has twice hosted the Olympic Games, in 1932 and 1984, and will host them again in 2028. Los Angeles is divided into a large number of districts that are named according to the ethnicities of their residents: Chinatown, Little Armenia, Thai Town, Historic Filipinotown, Little Ethiopia and Little Persia. This cosmopolitan city remains one of the largest entry points for immigrants in the US. L.A.’s Hollywood districtmakes it one of the hubs of the film industry. The legendary letters standing on Mount Lee are regarded as the world’s biggest billboard. They are 107.3 m long and 13.7 m tall.
