Vitra's Resting Animals collection is the result of a research project by Front Studio. The duo of designers interviewed randomly selected people to identify the objects in their lives that are truly meaningful to them. Most of the responses included animal creatures.
The collection presents a series of friends that make for pleasant company. The presence of sleeping animals doesn't just make an impact visually. It as well creates a feeling of contentment and well-being. In fact, the sight of animals releases hormones into the body that induce a sense of calm.
