The Surrealism art movement depicted unnerving, illogical scenes, creating a new world through radical ways of thinking. This style of artwork has heavily influenced our Surrealism Collection, with the use of everyday objects transformed into precious metal jewellery. Insects & plants create a sense of familiarity whilst also maintaining the fun and implausible characteristics of the Surrealism movement.
The Butterfly Necklace is inspired by this Surrealist principle, taking a familiar insect and transforming it into a solid, Sterling Silver pendant. Butterflies represent metamorphosis, and are significant symbols of transformation, freedom, and rebirth. The necklace has an oxidised finish to highlight the details and gives an aged, vintage look.
The pendant measures 14mm in height and has an oxidised finish. The pendant hangs from a slim rolo chain which can be adjusted from 46cm up to 52cm and is finished with a sterling silver lobster clasp. For a layered look, style it with the Silver Bamboo Necklace.
