so, just like you, we miss travelling. the rush of running to catch a plane, landing in a brand new city and getting lost in their small streets, just to find the most perfect small store or café.
we didn't stop hunting for new beautifully crafted products from faraway places and we keep introducing them to hong kong. for the end of the summer, we brought the travelling experience indoors with our "IMMEDIATE BOARDING" decoration and we will highlight a new city and the best they can offer every week.
this week, we mind-travel to the big apple and celebrate their brands!

common projects
a brand needs no introduction.
Common Projects was founded in 2004 by Prathan Poopat, an American-based art director, and Flavio Girolami, an Italian creative consultant. the shoes are hand-stitched in Italy, and often use Italian Nappa leather.
the company name came about as Poopat and Girolami were working on a number of 'common' projects together, the original 'Achilles' shoe included, while living in separate countries. all of their shoes feature a line of numbers along the heel, displaying the style, the size and colour, respectively. In the brand’s early years, these numbers could be rubbed off, but, now, they are branded in gold foil.
kapok was one of the early supporters of the brand, it has become the most important star brand for us and the fans just keep coming back for more....
sea new york
Sea is born out of the friendship between childhood friends Sean Monahan and Monica Paolini.
together, they share a vision that is distinctively Sea—combining Monica’s eye for vintage-feeling pieces and Sean’s leaning towards more modern, clean styles. their considered perspective forms an aesthetic that is quietly inviting and elegantly balanced.
classic silhouettes with a distinctive use of lace, embroidery, knits and technical fabrics result in collections that are at once both effortless and optimistic, romantic and boyish.
each season, the duo continues to refine and reinvent their own language, developing a cherished connection with their global, modern customer who relies on the brand for their day-to-day wardrobe. they stay focused on the world of Sea, exploring, evolving and building the brand.

vasic
Vasic Collection is a young brand (founded in 2014!) based in New York City and designed by former hairstylist Kanoko Mizuo. the bags are geometric takes on classic shapes, and for spring, many of the designs are lightened with canvas or fine basket weave.

during her first years in NYC Kanoko Mizuo was a sought-after editorial hairstylist who worked with elite magazines. When she felt the need to extend her creativity, Kanoko began designing handbags meant to easily transition from day to night. Her classic silhouettes - accented with trendy embellishments - are a thoughtful tribute to the dichotomy that defines their maker's life: the nonstop, improvisational lifestyle of the Big Apple and the Japanese aesthetic, which emphasizes minimal yet exquisite detail.
