Phoebis Neocypris in a few words
This butterfly is one of the Pieridae. This family includes specimens that are generally medium-sized, with white, yellow or orange shades and are often marked with small dark spots. The family comprises more than 1,000 species including Pieris brassicae, commonly known as the "Cabbage White", which can be observed in French gardens and meadows in spring.
This species covers a very large area of America, and is found in primary and secondary tropical forests, deciduous forests, scrubby grasslands and agricultural land. It is a species living mostly at low altitudes, rarely found above 1,000 metres. It is in this ecosystem that the Phoebis Neocypris finds flowers for food, including several species of Impatiens.
It is frequently observed in tight groups of a dozen individuals clustered together. Very timid, it flies away at the first sign of danger and then reforms with its group, appearing as yellow clouds in the air.
Where does Phoebis Neocypris live?
Phoebis Neocypris can be seen from Brazil to Mexico.
As our pieces use real butterflies, the dimensions mentioned can only be indicative, although we select butterflies as close as possible to these dimensions.
