The Silver?Banana Necklace is a?minimal necklace with a small banana pendant and an oxidised finish. The necklace is?made from?925?Sterling Silver and is hallmarked by the?Goldsmiths' Company Assay Office?verifying its quality.

The?Surrealism?art movement depicted unnerving, illogical scenes, creating a new world through radical ways of thinking.?This style of artwork has heavily influenced our Surrealism Collection, with the use of everyday objects transformed into precious metal jewellery. Insects & plants create a sense of familiarity whilst also maintaining the fun and implausible characteristics of the?Surrealism?movement.

The Banana Necklace is inspired by the Surrealist artwork "The Uncertainty of the Poet", where a torso statue stands frozen in time, next to a moving train &?perishable bananas, suggesting a sense of urgency and the immediate. Whilst being a symbol of time in this painting, a banana is also a fun and novelty pendant that can be worn as an every day piece of jewellery.

The small banana pendant measures 16mm and has an oxidised finish. The pendant hangs from a slim rolo chain which can be adjusted?from 46cm up to 52cm and is finished with a sterling silver lobster clasp. For a layered look, style it with the?Silver?Diamond Cut Chain.
