founder arnault castel says: “15 years later, we are still bringing happiness to our customers and their families, still working with brands we love and respect. we have developed a kapok touch, with a strong point of view in our brand selection and through collabs. In the past 3 years, we have launched a program of new flagship stores in wanchai, tsim sha tsui and causeway bay. this brings kapok very close to the vision I had when I started the project 15 years ago! we will continue to grow and evolve with care and patience and never losing sense of who we are.”
to mark our 15th anniversary celebration, kapok worked with hong kong brand oddity studio to create beautiful a kapok flower pattern, inspired by the letter “k” and the kapok tree which gave us our name. each brand interpreted the kapok flowers pattern in its own way, highlighting that the kapok tree gives a house and gathers beautiful creatures and plants; kapok stores have become amazing places full of gorgeous products and customers.
kapok worked with 15 brands and designers from hong kong and overseas : Becandle, Cara Janelle, Charbonnel et Walker, Ciaolink, Ditto Ditto, Faux, Future Classics, Gitman Vintage, London Undercover, Malin + Goetz, Mismo, O.N.S, Reception, Tammy & Benjamin, and The Map to launch 15 unique collaborations across apparel, accessories, tableware, candles, chocolate, painting, stationery, and even umbrella.
all kapok stores have dressed up for kapok 15. the wall outside kapok victoria park store is wrapped in a joyful kapok 15 flower pattern to share the happiness with the community. every corner in stores, such as display shelves, shopping bags and gift wrapping, takes on a new look with our flowers in different forms and colors. visit our stores to bathe in the festive mood.
