MISMO

what began as a simple idea in 2003 to counterbalance the uninspired nylon briefcases and travel bags of the time, has since blossomed into one of Scandinavia’s strongest accessories labels and a true leader in the luxury luggage market.

from Mismo’s first collection in 2006 to today, partners Adam Alexander Bach and Rikke Overgaard have carefully considered every step along the way. their combined vision for the brand is focused and direct, and in true entrepreneurial fashion they’ve found success following their own map instead of traveling a path dictated by tradition. with backgrounds in market economics and men’s tailoring, Adam and Rikke prove with each Mismo product that contemporary luxury design is possible without a regimented fashion design education. Instead, it’s their unique ability to manifest their memories and experiences into their designs that dictates the elegance and understatement of the brand’s growing offering.

Rikke Overgaard and Adam Alexander Bach, founders of Mismo

Mismo uses natural materials with simple yet refined details to create lasting style.

as a Danish brand with a Spanish name and bags manufactured in Turkey from the finest Italian fabrics, this continental element is one that purposefully touches every aspect of the company. Since the very beginnings of Mismo, Adam and Rikke have consciously ensured that every aspect contributes to the whole.  Mismo is focused on sustainably bringing our design philosophy to the world. In the end, all of these elements combine beautifully to evoke an elegance that is distinctly Mismo’s own.

with durable design and timeless craftsmanship, Mismo and kapok share the same oncept of aesthetic sustainability and the way this industry-conscious approach seeks to reduce, rethink, and reform consumption.

Stephane Park, founder and designer of Aesther Ekme

the idea of 'functional beauty' is carried through each collection, which takes classic shapes and pushes their boundaries to achieve both lightness and strength, purpose and sensibility.

growing up in Brazil to Korean parents, Stephane says that the many cultures she’s lived in throughout her life greatly inform her work. “I’m heavily inspired by Brazilian architecture of the 70s, as well as Brutalism in general” she notes.  she left Sao Paolo at 18 to study fashion design at Parsons in New York City, then going on to work for Alexander Wang in accessories.

STEAMERY

Steamery creates beautiful and easy-to-use tools for clothing care. combining high technology with Scandinavian design. the result — clever tools that will make your clothes last longer.

Steamery was founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 2014 by Martin Lingner and Frej Lewenhaupt. by combining a professional background in fashion and Scandinavian design aesthetics with high technology and sustainable values, they aim to make it easier for people to take better care of their clothes. they want to give fashion enthusiasts access to their whole wardrobe. forget about wrinkly clothes and pilled, destroyed knits, invest in pieces you love and make them last.

Martin Lingner, co-founders of Steamery

Steamery's fabric shaver will take care of your precious sweaters.

it all started with steamers, but why?  steaming has for a long time been an obvious part of the fashion industry and the first hand choice for fixing pieces at fashion shoots and backstage on fashion shows.  steaming is fun, effective and it comes with a number of other benefits.

the first product they released was Cumulus, a classic home steamer. the launch was soon followed by two new ones, Cirrus Travel Steamer and Stratus Professional Steamer.  as product range expanded, they also invent a fabric shaver.  now, we have no excuse not to take better care of our clothes, so that we can buy less and shop wiser.

SANDQVIST

Sandqvist was founded in 2004, initially as an experimental design project by three childhood friends; Anton, Daniel and Sebastian. the brand grew organically as a response to the lack of well-crafted, design-led, functional bags on offer at the time and disrupted the status-quo on how practicality can go hand-in-hand with design. staying true to their Scandinavian roots, the three founders still believe in Swedish values: sustainability and care for the environment, high-quality designs and uncompromising functionality.

Sandqvist evokes strong Swedish values: sustainability, designs and functionality.

Anton Sandqvist, co-founder of Sandqvist

Sandqvist is focusing on four areas where they can make a positive impact: climate change, chemicals, biodiversity and water issues.

all Sandqvist’s canvas products are constructed from organic cotton produced on a small scale by self-sufficient farmers in Adilabad, India. they choose to work directly with the farmers to ensure we have the highest quality products and provide fair wages and good working conditions for the local community.

they also use recycled polyester and recycled nylon, the former gives a new lease of life to waste materials that is not naturally biodegradable, whereas the latter is made from MIPAN regen, the world’s first recycled nylon filament yarn made for textile usage.  the leather part comes from Scandinavian cattle bred for dairy and meat production. this way, they can have full traceability and be assured of good animal husbandry in accordance to some of the strictest animal welfare laws in the world, and the tanneries they used are all rated Gold or Silver for their environmental work by the Leather Working Group.

Sandqvist place focus on challenging the role of functionality in design and practicing both sustainability and respect for the environment at all times, without compromising aesthetics.
