The Gold Banana Necklace is a minimal necklace with a small banana pendant. The necklace is made from Gold Plated 925 Sterling Silver and is hallmarked by the Goldsmiths' Company Assay Office verifying its quality.

The Surrealism art movement depicted unnerving, illogical scenes, creating a new world through radical ways of thinking. This style of artwork has heavily influenced our Surrealism Collection, with the use of everyday objects transformed into precious metal jewellery. Insects & plants create a sense of familiarity whilst also maintaining the fun and implausible characteristics of the Surrealism movement.

The Banana Necklace is inspired by the Surrealist artwork "The Uncertainty of the Poet", where a torso statue stands frozen in time, next to a moving train & perishable bananas, suggesting a sense of urgency and the immediate. Whilst being a symbol of time in this painting, a banana is also a fun and novelty pendant that can be worn as an every day piece of jewellery.

The small banana pendant measures 16mm and is plated in 14KT Gold. The pendant hangs from a slim rolo chain which can be adjusted from 46cm up to 52cm and is finished with a sterling silver lobster clasp. For a layered look, style it with the Gold Diamond Cut Chain.

Every product comes in a recyclable pouch. Our pouches are made from 100% cotton with cotton drawstrings and are completely plastic free & recyclable. Silver products (excluding Rhodium plated styles) naturally age over time, so they also come with a cleaning cloth, which can be used to polish your product.
